Meet the Council

First and foremost, I would like to thank the ratepayers of McLean for giving me the opportunity to serve as Mayor. I enjoyed my previous term as councilor, and am elated to have a second term as Mayor.

I moved to McLean in September of 2012, with my wife Jenna, and our daughter Tenley. We have enjoyed calling McLean home for the past 8 years, and welcomed our second daughter, Ellie, in 2019. My wife and I are both Paramedics in Regina, for the Saskatchewan Health Authority – Regina EMS.

I was raised in a number of smaller communities across Canada, as the son of a Warrant Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. My wife was raised in a small town just an hour away from McLean. We knew once our first daughter was born, that we wanted to find a small community to raise her in, and our eventual growing family. A place where we could plant our roots – McLean it was!

We, as a family, have been invested in this community. My wife and I both have been members of the McLean Medical First Responders. I am also a former member of the McLean Fire Department. I was assistant basketball coach in 2019 for the Steve Nash Basketball Program, coaching ages 7-9. We are also very involved with the local 4H club, alongside our eldest daughter. As stated above, I completed my first term as a councilor for the village, from 2016-2020.

I am looking forward to working with the councilors, and administration for the betterment of this community. After four years as a councilor, along with my career in the Canadian Armed Forces and as a Paramedic, I feel I have attained the skills, knowledge, and leadership required to guide this community to its full potential. Being that we are a small village, there is no reason we all can’t be neighborly and have an “open” door policy – I am available to my residents and community, for whatever it may be.

After just recently having our first meeting (November 2020), and getting to hear the thoughts and ideas of a brand-new council, I am very excited to see where this community will be at the end of the next 4 years.

I am open to hearing any of your concerns or suggestions. Please do not hesitate to contact me. My door is always open, and my cell is always on.
